It’s been happening. Don’t worry about these other fucking babies. It’s been 90 bucks for the most part all year. They haven’t been available very much lately from the factory. They raise the price. That happens. Yeah, they did used to be much cheaper. So did the materials to make them. So did shipping them. So did paying the people that make them. It sucks. Things happen. Pretty much since those tariffs went in, those materials became silly price. Even plywood is silly price now. These days when I am machining if I just need to make a quick plywood jig for something I actually have to think about the plywood I use because even the aluminum I will be cutting is just outrageous now. I roll with the punches and if my customers think I’m the bad guy because of price hikes that’s totally fine. It’s only happened twice and both of them weirdos.

I’ll share one of them because it was hilarious. Totally unrelated to this conversation but...that’s Reddit. Had this guy come into the shop because I was doing a private sale of one of my own items. He was buying a personal plate carrier off of me. He saw that we carry team Wendy and made a comment something to the effect of ‘you sell that shit?’. My shop guy didn’t even miss a beat. “No, we make them. Hillary’s in the back whipping the kids right now.” I had to just concrete my emotions because oh my god this kid. That was the funniest fucking thing I’ve ever heard in my life. I had to poker face this sale. I got my $120 but it would have been worth every cent if the guy had declined the sale.
