When did your feeling about "Something is very wrong here." turned out to be true?

Lame but when I was a kid I was hanging out with my friends one day playing at their house, and their mom says she made us some chicken tenders.

Awesome. I love chicken tenders and so do like all my ten year old friends. We run over to the table and their mom pulls the hot tray out of the oven and lets us all pick a few. We all sit down to stuff our faces and all of the sudden I just get this really awful queasy feeling that something is super wrong.

Instead of biting into the food I’m holding I try to tear it in half, fail, and then try to pull the breading off and discover that the chicken is completely raw. Wtf. These were supposed to be precooked and plus they were in the oven a while. I stop my friends and I didn’t get salmonella from biting into raw chicken because I weirdly decided to check it first even though it looked and smelled fine.
