when was the last time you've genuinely been let down by something/someone you really believed in?

Didn't happen that long ago.

Was talking to a gal for about three months who I ended up liking enough to hop on a plane to go see for the first time. Had every intention of staying if it worked out.

Day before I get on the plane, she tells me she isn't a waitress, and she is in fact, a high end escort.

It wasn't the escorting part that pissed me off so much as the blatant lying. I might have actually been okay with that if she was honest from the start.

Basically got my hopes up I had found someone honest and worth while to fall in love with just to have those hopes come crashing down. What baffled me even more is she didn't understand why I was so angry about it.

It was a fucked up situation.
