What an intresting opinon.

covid vaccines may impact people with auto immune conditions

Auto immune disorders were always going to have a problem with Covid-19 mRNa vaccines, as the vaccine gives a immune response on muscles. I cannot imagine this helps someone whos body is already attacking itself.

Maybe the first question we need to ask is, "do we really need to get 'out of this pandemic'?" Technically, the Flu is an annually recurring pandemic, yet somehow we're not losing our shit over it.

Fair point.

So far, I have seen little to suggest that anyone below the age of ~65 and without significant comorbidities should be worried about catching Covid.

A large percentage of people do have comorbilities. Medical science prevents these people from dieing. To clarify are you saying people should be at risk of dieing and catching covid so everyone feels better and gets their freedoms back. I mean you are essentially reccomending that others lose the freedoms so you can get your own. The freedoms that you value.

The recent UK numbers on the Delta variant suggest an average mortality of 0.026% for people below 50. That's hardly an argument for forced vaccinations.

Keep in mind this is only the morbility of the delta variants, and many varients have different outcomes. Other varients have both recorded higher and lower mortality rates.

On the other hand, assuming the vaccine was effective for people at risk, why should it matter if the rest of the population receives it or not?

The disease mutates every infection. This creates extreme risk for at risk people, presumably making the vaccine ineffective in the long term if only vulnerable people get it.

Viruses are different to other bacteria, they constantly mutate every infection. I suspect this happens during reproduction as the virus creates imperfect copies of itself. The dna different cells it infects may lead to these mutations.

That's hardly an argument for forced vaccinations.

Was anyone reccomending forced vaccines. From my understanding our government has always concidered it a choice. Although they want high uptake. Due to the nature and potential of catching covid-19 some industrys Will require forced vaccinations becuase they are either at risk of creating a covid 19 incursion or working with vunerable people who could catch covid-19.

vaccine was effective for people at risk,

Due the the risk of never ending mutations the vaccine will never be effective for anyone without a high uptake. Viruses constantly mutate. There is no such thing as a stable virus. If you vacinate everyone you prevent the virus from mutating, assuming its effective. Preventing the opportunity for mutation is the only way to stop viruses from spreading and evading treatments.

What really bugs me is that the entire narrative around the vaccine and the methods employed to coerce healthy people to get it are hardly based on scientific facts and sane reasoning at all

Read my comment It suggests otherwise.

severe overreactions and the loss of personal freedoms due to government overreach.

Well I guess if you were an adult with no comorbility under 65 you could say this.

But...

You do not concider the lack of rights experienced by people woth co morbidities due to your business as usual approach. They have the rights to the same freedoms as you without a fear of dieing.

Also anyone over 65 might die. Ah well its fine that our elderly die, it saves the pension right. It means we don't have to pay super...
