I recently went to an interview in which the interviewer told me she’d send me a really hard excel test that she admitted even she wouldn’t be able to complete. She practically said that it was just for fun to see what people were capable of.

In the same interview she also admitted to me that she keeps tabs on someone she previously interviewed on LinkedIn because she didn’t like that she told her she took quite a while to finish her accounts qualification.

She also told me that the position would never advance anywhere with the business and to never expect a salary or job title change. I didn’t ask her for the excel test in the end.
