I understand that it shows recent transactions across accounts and categorizes them, but what advantage does the template have over other custom financial spreadsheets? I can see the individual transactions, but I can't monitor the overall balance in each account. Is it to categorize spending for tax purposes?

I also noticed that some of the downloaded transactions have unexpected names. For example a puchase at a Post Office yesterday came down as "Pos Deb [street city]", and was categorized as "Professional Services". The next day I will remember what that debit card purchase was, but months in the future? Don't think so.

I guess I don't get the excitement. The template appears to duplicate what already exists, in services like Mint. I must be missing something.
