This was a couple years back when I was still in highschool. I was heading home from my tutoring job when I had that awkward dry cough on a crowded bus. You know the one I'm talking about. Usually it goes away when I'd drink some water but this time it didn't. Being really self conscious of disturbing/disgusting people around me, an elderly male fidgeted beside me. I had thought he was gonna say something or move but he got out a cough drop and handed it to me. "Be careful out there, its cold outside hun." Nicest thing a stranger has done for me that I could remember. Now I carry cough drops with me and hope to do the same one for someone :)
