Will a white German shepherd male paired with an English cream golden retriever female make white pups?

You absolutely should not breed your dog if you care for dogs at all.

Temperament is unpredictable, and it’s not just about genetic but upbringing and training. Wanting to breed your dog because he’s “smart and friendly” is an incredibly bad idea, because neither of those things are genetic.

What is genetic is health issues. Just because he’s healthy doesn’t mean he doesn’t have genetic conditions he could pass on. Have you done health testing? Elbow dysplasia? Eye screening? Deafness screening? Hip dysplasia? Full panel blood tests? The million other tests that reputable breeders do?

Registered breeders spend hundreds and thousands of dollars to ensure their dogs are healthy, and that they won’t pass down any genetic conditions to puppies.

And that’s just for /your/ dog. That should all be done for both parents. It’s expensive, time consuming, and your dog might not even pass health testing. Would you still be willing to breed him if he has genetic conditions? (Hint: you shouldn’t).

Are you willing to spend hours and hours training and socialising the puppies? Spending hundreds of dollars in vet bills? Are you willing to spend hours vetting potential owners? Are you willing to take back a dog if the family doesn’t want them anymore? What if a puppy ends up with a congenital condition? Are you willing to potentially spend thousands of dollars to help them?

It’s also irresponsible to breed two different breeds, especially when one isn’t breed standard. Breeding dogs isn’t just something you do for fun because you seemingly just want another smart, friendly, white dog. You’d be better off just rescuing a puppy, or finding a breed that fits your needs and finding a reputable and register breeder.

There is /so/ much that goes into breeding, and you don’t seem to know anything, so I ask that if you care for your dog, don’t breed him. People breeding dogs for fun or because they want /one/ puppy from a litter is why so many dogs end up on the streets, with families that don’t care for them, or in shelters where they end up being euthanised.

Maybe you don’t mean any harm, so if you seriously don’t, and really care about what people have to say here, please don’t breed your dog.
