Just saying I worked my ass off as a lineman when I was in my late teens, 20’s, and 30’s. I worked countless storm jobs, 80 hour weeks for months on end, and saved as much as I could. Paid off my house, car, and put away a good bit.

We also got 5 weeks PTO a year with 4 floating vacation days with 40 hours personal time off.

I know this is not reasonable for everyone, but I took every opportunity my job gave me to better my life.

I now work from 7-10am from home and then from 10:15am to 2pm in the field inspecting jobs. Got a take home company truck and 3 weeks PTO, salary.

I’m home most days around 2:30pm and then it’s flying RC planes/Drones, PS5, hanging with wife and pets.
