The reason I haven't told my bf is because it's 4 am in the morning and I've only started considering this 3 hours ago. He knows everything else up to even my pity for H for having nothing to eat on christmas.

It feels like you're implying that it could be appropriate as long as our relationship truly is platonic? Am I understanding you correctly?

Anyway I think I'm leaning towards it's inappropriate, thought to set the record straight my intentions with my ex crush revolve around the fact that he is an old friend from my hometown. I would really appreciate a friendship like that because I have no one else like that around me (platonically). I am for sure *not* hoping for sparks to fly, but I am thinking about what you said about opening a can of worms. :( Perhaps I can just gift him some groceries instead.
