The reason why I’m skeptical of the idea John just allowed her to call 911 is that John, who is notorious for remaining calm and collected to an extreme degree, sounded visibly agitated when he told Burke they’re not speaking to him, so something must have happened to stress him out to that extent. Additionally, the two Ramseys were apart for almost seven hours after the victims advocates arrived. I think that’s significant—it seems to me that they likely argued about calling 911, which would explain the coldness afterwards, but nothing like a full blown shouting match, otherwise John would’ve hovered over her and made doubly sure she said nothing about it to her friends over the course of the day.
