[WP] This year, every category of the Nobel Prize (Physics, Chemistry, Medicine, Peace and Literature) is awarded to a single achievement.

The Nobel Prize.

The pinnacle of human achievement, one of the highest honors bestowed upon a human.

Its funny, to award someone with a trophy who has awarded us so much more... The smartest men who dedicate their entire life to their work.

This year has had quite a competitive drive. Nano-technology being used to fight off cancer, the pope wrote a book that has caused the Middle East to work towards peace, and space travel has an awakening from a discovery of colliding Uranium particles to harness energy.

Who will be awarded tonight? Let's see.

After the introductions and entertainment, the curtains part way to reveal a few men in suits beaming a smile into the crowd. After the courteous applause, one of the men walk up to the podium and speaks. "Our first category, Liter-"

A man in a lab coat runs onto the stage with papers. After a brief discussion with the man in the suit, the scientist comes up to the microphone.

The audience tenses. Humans are a traditional creature and the interruption brings tension to the atmosphere.

"Ladies and gentleman," the Scientist begins, "Tonight, the biggest accomplishment in history has been officially released as public information and in a recent discussion with the Board, we'd like to award all 5 categories to a man simply known as Fry."

The audience stares with confusion. Murmurs begin with people whispering disbelief. An elderly man known as Albert Farnsworth stands, "What's the meaning of this?"

The scientist begins, eyes beaming, "Fry is from the year 2,000."

Albert begins again, "So? What does that have to do with anything here?"

"He has... The Scosetta Stone".

Gasp across the room.

"The Scosetta Stone is the Rosetta Stone's sister. It allows us to understand the origins of our entire universe and the fundamentals of every aspect of molecular structure. It contains every language ever known to man and all other species in the Universe. The Scosetta Stone is the fabled book that contains the secrets of life."

Albert looks down in sadness. He had a death ray he had submitted and was up for nomination. As the audience began to question the scientist about the Scosetta Stone, Albert began to walk towards the exit. This was his last chance to win the Nobel prize. His last year to submit anything.

He reaches the exit and the doors behind him shut, closing off the radiant noise from inside. As he walks into the night mumbling, from a distance, before he disapears you can make out one sentence. "I don't want to live on this planet anymore."

Yeah its not good. Its 2a.m for me and I got bored. Thus was my first one so pleaasse tell me how to improve.
