Wrongly reported for scamming, is there anything I can do?

I wanted to post a little story down here in the comments. Awhile back I was sending trade offers back and forth with a guy from CS:GO Lounge. It didn't take long for me to figure out that we weren't going to come to an agreement on price so I declined his counter offer as I do many times a day and went on with trading other people.

Later that day I received another offer from the same guy,

Look bro, I offered you a reasonable amount of shit (10 cents profit for you). I'm not going to let you fucking scam me into almost 2 dollars worth of extra shit just cause you think i'm not going to count it up. At least respond with a reasonable statement or I'll just report you for this attempted scam.

Why would you willingly try to rip people off or like 2 dollars? That's like stealing from a fucking lemonade stand.

Just be a good person :/

This guy gets an A+ for being an excellent manipulator.

  • Emphasizes how fair his prices are while exaggerating how unfair mine are. Those are some conveniently round numbers for someone who claims to have done the math. (I have done the math, the original trade would have been a mere 43 cent profit on a 7 dollar skin.)
  • Threatens to report me unless I comply with him.
  • Tries to guilt monger. A voluntary trade is NOT like stealing from a lemonade stand, in any way.

I instantly blocked him but unfortunately it's not the first person I've ran into who claimed they were going to report me if I didn't meet their demands. It's a dirty tactic and Steam should severely punish those who attempt to use it. My ability to trade is now likely compromised as a result.

On a happier note, I've met some very kind and generous people who were a pleasure to trade with. I do this for fun and not because I'm trying to get rich, I'd make far more money even at a part time minimum wage job.
