Changing careers later in life.

I was working hospitality at 30. Had a suit in his mid-20’s come in for dinner with his parents. He was rude and short with me all night for no reason. Wasn’t the first time it had happened but it really knocked me out of my comfort. I liked hospitality, and I had good mates in the industry but this guys attitude forced me to ask myself if I wanted to be doing this in 10 years time. I also needed a kick in the pants to change things and move out of what was comfortable. 10 years later I’ve finished the degree I should have done after high school and I’ve got a job that puts me in the top 5% of income earners. I’m not a super motivated person, I just knew I need to take little steps every week towards my goal or I’d end up at 40 in the same place.
