WTF is wrong with people having a public Instagram account about their child

I’m going to be the devil’s advocate and say some people post pictures of their kid because they want to include relatives, who can’t visit, in their child’s life. Another possible reason is they are creating an online photo album to share with their kid once they are older. As long as the albums are only shared with trusted friends/relatives, I don’t see how the harm.

But, yeah, when people have their first kid, everything he/she does is obnoxiously great. My parents have a photo album of my older brother, and there is a page of photos where he has the exact same pose over-and-over again. Where my album has time gaps.

It does get annoying. I have had too many conversations about the “cute” thing someone’s kid is currently doing. Also, I might have temporarily blocked people who have posted too many kid pics.
