Hello. I’m a Jewish person with bipolar 1 (same diagnosis as Kanye). As shitty and insane as some people may get during manic episodes, you gotta have that bigoted shit ingrained pretty deep inside for it to come out during an episode (sort of like how most people won’t go on drunken racist rants if they weren’t a racist to begin with). My mania has gotten me hospitalized over 10 times in 18 years, and I have never said or done anything remotely as bigoted as Kanye, because I’ve never felt that way. He’s giving us all a bad name using “mania” as an excuse. If I do or say something that hurts others while manic, I’d be doing everything in my power to apologize and make it right. Kanye won’t, he’s using his diagnosis as an excuse to escape from punishment or consequences of his actions. If he’s truly manic, lock him the fuck up like the rest of us and get him on meds, hold him past the 72 hour hold if he doesn’t comply. I fucking hate the disparity money gives.
