I agree with you. Tbh I don't even see the problem with the joke, its clearly absurdist. The supposition that these points would be scored in the way presented is funny because its absurd. Its like Idiocracy the tweet to me. To find this offensive one would have to imagine that the person is being serious, which they clearly are not. Otherwise the nature of the complaint would be that some subject matter is over the line, such as recently deceased, serious populist movements for righrs, which it is not.

I joke about inappropriate things all the time. When my grandmother died my uncle made a joke at the funeral that had half the family laughing so hard it was cathartic and really helped us bond together, and the other half was pissed and thought he was disrespecting her. I knew my grandmother well, she would have fucking laughed too. Its the same grandmother who told me at his funeral that she was happy my grandfather died because she didnt have to smell his farts anymore.
