[XBOX] New player, cannot for the life of me decide what class/spec to play

Well, I could give you a rundown of each class' magicka and stamina builds, but quite frankly, since you don't know the game mechanics down to a tee yet, it wouldn't do you justice as far as determining and understanding how to get "the most out of your experience."

We can tell you everything we know but the game truly caters to around what you personally like and want out of a game. And the only way to find that out is for you to spend hours, yes, hours, learning the classes through experience. It is part of your journey with ESO, so don't worry about needing to get to end game with all the best gear.

The game is generally the same combat-wise throughout the entirety of leveling, and it is only in Imperial City dungeons and Veteran Maelstrom Arena that you and your gear will actually be tested. The other dungeons just require simple trial and error before they become muscle memory to you.

Now I say all of this because each class can be built however you would like. Stamina sorcerer, magicka sorcerer, stamina templar, magicka templar, stamina nightblade, magicka nightblade, stamina dk, magicka dk. Literally every single combination (DPS-wise) is viable, and will be able to complete any and all content if played somewhat correctly.

There will be certain skills you like, and certain ones you don't. For instance, avid templar players love a skill redubbed as the "jesus beam," which is the strongest execute in the game. However, it is simply a beam coming out of a hand that you channel, and it is one of the most boring skills to me, despite its damage. I'm a magicka sorcerer, so I love throwing on my shield and standing in the middle of a mob and just spamming aoe skills. Other people hate the notion and would rather be ducking and diving as they would a stamina class.

Nobody can filter through what you will want except for yourself. My advice is to stick with what you have until you are completely fed up with it, and I guarantee, if you play this game long enough, a curiosity will spark right back up and you will be glad you have that character at least a little leveled up. I hated my magicka Imperial templar, so I created several alts that I leveled to max, and then went back to that templar and changed him to stamina, and he was some of the most fun I have ever had in the game. Then stamplars got nerfed (GG).

Enjoy man, you just cannot and should not compress ESO into a grindfest to rush to end game. It grows with time, exponentially.
