Remember11's prologue is the best one I've seen. The caged bird metaphor was pretty apt and while yuni was annoying the story quickly switched over to satoru's perspective and the murder case files. The pacing was really nicely done due to the perspective swaps offering a convenient way to cut out the filler from each perspective. The sequence of events from satoru falling to the plane crash were all pretty damn interesting and hooked me instantly. Good art, good bgm, cheesy cgi of the plane crashing but whatever it's a game from 2002, and a catchy opening song. I love this vn's prologue. Some of it might have been kinda pretentious, but in that quaint way that translated vns tend to be. Can't stand vns that have to open with an extended slice of life segment before anything interesting happens.
