The Superhero World

Overall on the rise slowly, but also quickly within the last 50 years. Superpowers were initially very disruptive because they were new, but as more supers emerged trends were noticed. It's not only possible for normal people to make them face consequences if need be, but the increase in supers and the specific nature of powers means a greater likelihood that a superhero capable of stopping a villain easily will emerge.

The two main problems are that 1)superheroes have become limited in their applications due to things like sponsorship deals and thus public opinion becoming necessary and 2) some supers are becoming radicalized. A tertiary problem is that the Parahuman Research Institute is probably doing sketchy things as usual and got a new, too good to be true Senior Researcher, but nobody can investigate that.

The Fantasy World

Definitely on the rise overall, except for a recent international terrorist incident that's about to cause the Republic of Moose Lake to get their heads caved in by the Bog Mother and everybody else is blaming the victim because "Why would you ever antagonize somebody who advertises how much they like war crimes?"
