This! Ppl have been somewhat giving me shit when I say I’ve pre-ordered the iPhone X. Rubbing it in and say something along the lines of “Wow, you must be loaded eh?”

I’m normally a frugal person on a daily basis. I don’t really spend anything at all on myself except for gadget / techy stuff. But even then I’d only go for something cheap but useful. Small stuffs like a Bluetooth FM transmitter for my old car that doesn’t have any state of the art feature or a $40 wireless headphones from AliExpress that sounds amazing when I use it and would not wake my wife up when I’m on my phone watching videos.

I don’t travel as much as most people would, don’t spend much at all on fashion or food, I drive a 16 years old car (the same car that I’ve been driving since I got my driver’s license) and I drink instant coffee on a daily basis than get a latte from some fancy ass cafe.

So yes, my heart might’ve skipped a beat or two when Apple announced the iPhone X so you bet your ass that I’m gonna buy it because I like it. Call me an Apple fanboy or whatever but I’ve never regretted buying the latest iPhones each time because it makes me happy.
