12 hours in casualty and various hospital departments. The NHS staff are amazing, the general British public are not!

Before I start this, I’m not knocking the NHS in any way. I was in A&E a few months ago because I’d been knocked out in a rugby match and had pretty bad concussion to the point where opening my eyes caused me to feel nauseous and gave me a headache, so I was in a pretty bad state you could say. I was in A&E for around 5 hours waiting to see someone but because I had no visible signs of damage (blood/breakage/being sick) I wasn’t deemed an emergency. My mum and I knew this and had no issue with it at all we knew how they worked and weren’t mad, however what we were pissed off about was the fact that during this 5 hour wait seen before me was a chav who had just had a fight and had a bloody nose with his mates all blaring their shite music through their Bluetooth speakers, a junkie who was with her carers swearing at everyone who walked past and some chain smoking old man who was in and out of the waiting room every couple of minutes or so for a fag. I honestly feel so bad for the doctors, nurses, receptionists and other hospital staff who have to deal with those kinds of people on a day to day basis.
