I [17 F] called the cops on my dad [33 M]

This reminds me of an hk drama I watched a while back, it's called "Smooth Talker" by TVB. Although it's a bit of a side story, one of the female characters calls the cops on her father abusing her mother when she was young. The father was put in jail and the mother was mad at the daughter for ruining the family. Like you, she did not understand why she was mad. Back to the present her mother is at a seniors home and the daughter takes care of her. The father is no longer around or his whereabouts is unknown. The mother is no longer mad but rather ignores the daughter. The mother does not show hatred but is unappreciative and gives the cold shoulder. Their relationship has been bad ever since the call.

Watch the drama if you want the ending but what I'm trying to say is do not let this one call ruin your family. Obviously your mother loves you father a lot. Make sure you explain to your parents why you did what you did but make sure you also apologize, especially to your mother. Make sure you solve this now before you are without family later. Your mother loves you, or she would have sided with your father's decision to kick you out. You should talk to her first before making any more decisions you may regret. If anything else goes wrong seek help from a guidance councillor at school or an adult you know you can trust. As a last resort, if the violence gets worse and nobody is willing to help, you should search up what government assistance is available and contact them. This last resort will work but will cost you everything you currently have. Hope you can settle things out, hope everything goes well from here on out OP.
