$2,000 15-inch laptop showdown: Dell's XPS 15 vs. Apple's MacBook Pro 15 with Retina

You're done disputing the fact that it's very hard to get in France and the semantic around it? That sure was an interesting way of wasting time.

I'm not disputing the fact that it's hard to get. You didn't write hard. You did write impossible. If I write that's impossible to get the Apple Watch in my country because I only can order it online, it would be as true as you comment.

The device was rushed and QC took a toll.

How can you say that? Any articles or reports on it that it was rushed? The XPS 15 with the Infinity display was shown in early June for the first time. Released was it this time.

I don't want to spend time dealing with drivers, checking that there are no dead pixels, that the space key works as it should, that there isn't some vile certificate...

Oh and I still feel like I can't give my money to a company lying so much on battery life.

Dell claims 11 hours for a model with the 1080p display and the 84 WHr battery (and yes, this configuration is available). 17 hours for the same model if you get the additional power companion. It's less for the models with the models with the 4K display.

You seem hell bent on proving in some way that I'm a fanboy or something or that I'm wrong. Why?

Is your statement wrong that it's impossible to get an XPS 15 in France? Yes or no?

Do you own an XPS 15?

No, I own a MacBook Air and a work issued Dell Latitude.

If you do you good for you it's a great laptop if you get a good one, no need to defend it on the internet though.

I just corrected your statement that it's impossible to get an XPS 15 in France and that you can find horror stories about MacBooks as easy as about Dell, Lenovo or HP laptops. You're making up things like "the device was rushed", "checking for dead pixels", "tons of driver issues". All these can be said about MacBooks where you can also find threads on the Apple forums about driver issues, dead pixels and similar issues.
