Final Challenge #2 Submission Thread

"Listen man, all I'm saying is that maybe, just maybe, Guardians should take themselves a little less seriously."

"ME NO UNDERSTAND." Some people say Titans are stupid, but at least they're easy to understand.

"I mean maybe we should just be more laid back, you know? Like be a bit more-"

"I believe I know what he is saying. The Hunter is suggesting that we attack from afar, utilizing the range of our Sniper Rifles to weaken our-"

"No Warlock, that's not what I mean."

This seems to confuse the Warlock, who sits down with his head down, lost in thought.

"WHAT HUNTER MEAN"

Sigh. "I'm just saying, that Guardians tend to be... overly dramatic."

The Warlock stands up in anger.

"Overly Dramatic!? How dare you! Don't you know that the fate of Earth- nay, the fate of Humanity is at sake? We were chosen by the Traveler to keep the Darkness at bay! To protect the wea-"

"See? This is what I'm talking about."

The Warlock seems stunned, unable to speak.

"I get that we're at a war and all that, but do we have to be so dramatic? Everything is Traveler this, Darkness that. Fate this, Destiny that. At some point it just becomes..."

"CONFUSING."

"No man, not confusing. Just kind of... childish?"

"CHILDISH? Watch your tongue Hunter! We Guardians put our lives on the line every day, pushing back our enemies with all of our courage and might! Your words shame our fallen comrades!"

"FALLEN NO COMRADES. FALLEN BAD."

I can't help but laugh at that. That seems to fluster the Warlock.

"That is not what I... nevermind." He turns to face me. "I warn you Hunter, speak any more ill of our lost comrades and you will feel my wrath."

"Hey man, I've lost friends too, more than I can count. Every day it seems more and more of my friends just... move on"

This seems to calm the Warlock down a bit.

"I just mean maybe we can have fun every now and then. You know, make the remaining time we have a good one. We don't have to be so serious all the time."

The Warlock brings up his ghost.

"I'm afraid you and I will never see eye-to-eye, Hunter. I will be departing. Good luck on this mission."

"Aw come on man, don't go."

It's too late. The Warlock begins to disappear. With a final blink he disappears, with a final message to us.

"Eyes up, Guardians."

I look at the Titan.

"God, what a loser."

"LMAO, SERIOUSLY"

"Screw this man, let's go play Rocket League"

"FUCK YEAH BRO"
