2019 Singapore Grand Prix - Day after Debrief

i am going to take the controversial position and say anyone of the top 4 could have easily achieved the same as vettel did if they were in the same position

he nailed his outlap to leapfrog both Hamilton and Leclerc Seb made a strategy work to perfection

the grip of the fresh hards was vastly greater than the tired old softs – to the tune of 3.9sec! (it’s usually around 1-1.5sec). and at the end of the first stint when Leclerc and Hamilton tried to push, the tyres had nothing left to give them. From the mid 1min 48sec cruising pace, they found only about 1sec. In fact, Hamilton was just radioing in that his tyres were finished at the precise moment that Vettel peeled off from behind him into the pitlane.

survived 3 restarts

you need to be seconds faster than the car in front to overtake them. leclerc was behind, with the same car, tyres and relatively similar tyre deg.

cleared the traffic with some ballsy moves

he was seconds faster than the midfield cars but i'll give him some credit for his racecraft.

i know you're a seb fan but i'm just being completely objective. his victory felt a little hollow.

i'll get downvotes but i'm still not convinced his race was that impressive. canada was better because he was able to keep the much faster hamilton behind.
