27/F - dumped today

18/M speaking here!

Going through heartbreak is a royal pain the behind, especially when you feel as if you have no one to turn to. Been there, done that. I'm not going to say 'think about the good things in life' because, no, things don't just sort themselves out that way. I'm going to suggest what others have suggested prior to me commenting, which is that rest and food should help a little. If you can reach out to your family, you should try that. That you are reaching out to strangers online for help is a good sign that you are willing to look for help, and I'm sure there's more of that in you. Don't wallow in your misery, but don't leave it behind, either. When the time is right, ruminate on the relationship and try to see how you can improve, even if you didn't trigger the break-up or weren't aware of it before it hit you. For now, do what you can to wiggle yourself away from your more negative thoughts. Easier said than done, I'm aware, but it's the attempt that counts.

I can't begin to fathom what you must be going through. It all sounds so terrible and I'm sorry you have to go through any of it at all. I hope your life becomes easier following these events.
