I (29) am a bisexual man who recently came out to my girlfriend of almost 5 years, AMA.

So someone please help me understand. I in no way mean to come off unpleasant however I always have this question when I read about bisexuality. Why do people whom are bisexual and ALSO have a partner in a monogamous relationship- feel the need to display that they are bisexual? You chose this person, weather they are male or female, to be in a relationship. What is the point in saying “oh well I like the other sex too.” Is it not somewhat insulting? As a straight male I don’t say to my SO, “proud to be straight, I like women and sex with them”, or “beck is hot I wouldn’t mind being with her too.”It’s almost like you’re sexually thinking about other individuals - no? Someone help me with my thought process here.
