3 minutes before hell broke loose (Near Hamilton, Ontario). Campground got flooded. Only moments before, everyone’s phones went off with weather bureau’s emergency severe thunderstorm and wind alerts. Times like this I’m thankful I upgraded from a tent (we stayed dry).

Unfortunately no. Didn’t last long... maybe 30 mins. But non-stop lightening, only seconds apart for the full 30 mins.

The area around the picnic table was a lake, and the roads were all flooded. We stayed dry because our little trailer was one of the few in the campground to be on an elevated gravel pad. But others were not as lucky, especially in the tent sections.

This was the 2nd time I’ve seen a storm from hell at this same campground. 2 years ago winds were so strong that trees fell across the road leading to the campground, tents blew away, and even tent poles snapped in half.

After that I said screw it, and I bought myself this little vintage trailer!
