It's the 30th birthday of Natalie holloway. Her case is still unsolved.

I went to the Dominican at 19 with a friend. We had just graduated, stayed in a gated community, and felt safe. After 3 days my friend met a boy, and we went out for drinks with him. In a strange car, at night, to a club way away from everything we knew. They kept telling us we couldn't take pictures. About an hour into the night I had a panic attack and got them to take us back to our hotel. My friend wanted to stay with them and "meet me later"; when I refused to let her stay, she was mad at me for at least a day but I considered it a reasonable consequence really.

Going with them was one of the stupidest things I've ever done. We weren't hurt, but it was easy to imagine how we could have been. Was my friend dumb? Was i? Sure. We were 18, trusting, invincible. Doesn't give anyone the right to murder us and dump us in the ocean. Thank God we weren't. It's easy to say she was stupid and made bad decisions and whatnot, but people make bad decisions all the time, she was growing up. She should have had years to learn from her minor mistakes, no one had the right to do whatever he did to her.
