Ego does not imply bragging, or arrogance, or describing context. That's not what an ego is. The ego is something to control, not kill.

Personally I find it important for people to describe their position/situation. 2 degrees isn't bragging, in fact, I would say formal education is typically pointless and overrated. So it wasn't me bragging, it was me explaining this is who is writing this. A normal well educated, chemistry/lab experienced, grown man, with a family house, dogs and career.

Personally I find it makes a person more credible. Like in a courtroom. If I had said 'gimme a break Im 17, I didn't know what I was doing and didn't have a scale' would that not make my experience less advisable, and overall more insane, and make me and my experience less credible?

Personally I am a harm reduction advocate. Saying that I have experience with chemicals/pharmaceuticals and laboratory chemistry experience should simply give the indication this was deliberate, I know what I am doing, and am treating this like legitimate research by sharing my findings.

None of this is bragging, and if you think so that is actually your ego implying that because you see no value in that information it has no value to anyone.

Define the ego for me, as Freud described it, please.

You need your ego. It is the interface between your subconscious and the real world.

Anyways. I see a lot of dumb shit on here from people who are in fact doing dangerous and reckless stuff, I think everyone should explain where they are in life for context.

Im simply posting what I would like to see everyone include in there trip reports: Set! Including mind set (neutral, no medication or psychiatric diagnosis). Well informed, careful, intentions, where I am in my life etc.

There is a huge difference between escapist and exploratory drug experiences, as well most of what defines a drug 'problem' is how it is effecting ones life. I wanted to make it clear this is an extracurricular, and infrequent thing, that I have taken on after getting my shit together, not me being an idiot and doing things that would prevent me from getting my shot together.

I would love for everyone to share their ages, and level of education with their reports. I take well educated, well experienced peoples reports a bit more seriously than a person who dives in with no idea, then claims the drugs were bad, or dangerous etc. I relate better to a person who knows what they are doing, so I find their reports most helpful.
