That's how I feel about it too. I've never been a royalist or a monarchist, in fact I pay almost no attention to them at all, but the Queen's alright. If nothing else, I've always had respect for her stoic sense of duty. That girl has some serious work ethic. She could've chosen to abdicate (retire) in her 60s, 70s or 80s and nobody would've blamed her for doing so, but she keeps chugging along...

Realistically the monarchy is not going to be abolished any time soon, but for now we can appreciate her "golden age" of just being the same old stoic Queen.

I also liked that she insisted on taking the king of Saudi Arabia for a drive when he came to visit, since women weren't allowed to drive over there at the time. Her sass is usually quite subtle, but it's there!
