I vastly prefer experiences to things.
In 2010, I downsized from a 2800 square foot house to a 670 square foot apartment.
In 2014, I downsized again - this time to a 280 square foot Motorhome. I've got photos in the album Home Sweet Home.
In December, I gave up the stable job with The City for life as an IT Consultant with 100% remote work.
I am a Digital Nomad. I am traveling the US, going where I choose, when I choose, and working on the road from my RV. My needs are few. If I have a backpack, my laptop, and WiFi, I can work.
I don't have a destination, or a schedule. I can be anywhere. You can be anywhere. Distance is effectively a non-issue.
I have realistic expectations
99.8% of Cupideans will look at what I'm doing with my life, and shake their heads with disbelief. Security and Stability are the goals of most people. I had the stability, and I gave it up for a proper Life of Adventure.
I presume that approximately 0.2% of readers will continue beyond this point. (HERE BE DRAGONS)
To the 1 in 500 of you that are still reading...yes, I am hoping that someday I'll meet someone who gets all the way down to the bottom of my very lengthy profile (I did try to keep it entertaining, I swear!), and reacts with precisely the two words that are down there. And that I do, too.
I value intelligent, clever, caring women who can hold their own in pretty much any situation.
Politically, I lean pretty strongly Liberal and Libertarian, but I'm a moderate fiscal Conservative. I support gun ownership, gay marriage, small government and a woman's right to choose. If you're religious or FoxNews-leaning, we're definitely not a good match.
Thanks for reading this far, and I wish you the best of luck.
