This has nothing to do with Obama, and has everything to do with controlling the situation. Yes, the alt-right has been 100x worse when promoting violence and committing acts of violence.

Would you like to know why I have a problem with the Antifa? One, because as I said, they promote violence and I am against any type of violence. Two, and most importantly, because they give the alt-right an out.

When the Antifa threaten violence or are violent, they are giving the other side a chance to say, "Look! Look! They're just as violent! We need to fight against these horrible people who are trying to eradicate free speech!"

The Antifa feeds into the rhetoric of the right, and gives them more power. Fighting their violence with less violence is not the answer and never will be.

Control the situation. Point out these horrible people on the alt-right and use them as an example to pass legislation, such as gun control, and more harsh and consistent punishment on hate crimes. Do not fall to their level and then threaten them with violence after they are violent.
