6 Months ago, GabeN himself said Valve is always listening to the community. I wonder if the current Artifact outrage will be listened to.

I don't mind microtransactions for cosmetic stuff, as long as it stays that way - cosmetic.

I don't play TF2 so I can't comment, but there are 3 problems with CSGO's system.

A) Price of skins

B) Gloves and Sprays - Pointless things

C) Crates and Keys

A) For a few pence, you can get some shitty looking skins. For a few dollars, you can get some awesome skins (Like Valence, Worm God, Elite Build, or Man O'War to name a few). For a few hundred dollars, you can get knives. See the huge price gap? No fucking way will I pay £200 for the weapon I am least likely to use. Some guns skins are even worth upwards of £50. I draw the line at £2.

B) This is the pointless shit category. Stuff you have to pay for that you shouldn't really.

Gloves? The one thing nobody pays attention to?

If I spend any sort of money on skins, I would expect to name them or add stattrack at no extra cost. But no, you have to pay an extra £2 (iirc) to just name them. That's an insult.

And sprays? Why do I have to pay for a limited use, shitty looking spray? Why can I not import my own, like in every other fucking CS.

C) Crates and Keys.

I DESPISE any sort of crate and key system. You can sometimes get crates for free in game. And they are worth pittance anyway. Bar the most recent ones, you can pick them up for about 3p on the market. That I don't mind.

But keys cost disproportionally more then the crates. While crates are typically a couple of pence, keys are a couple of pounds. So you think after spend a few pounds you will get a skin that's worth it, right?

90% of the time, you'll get a skin that is worth next to nothing. The other 5%, you might get a skin that is worth a bit more, but nowhere near the value of they key. The final 5% is that you might get something that matches the value or exceeds it.

The whole crate and key system is bullshit and just a way to milk money for Valve.
