6'3" 100kg looking for a bike to cruise the city and mostly paved areas

NZ auction website. Thoughts?

I buy all my bikes from Trademe or the second treasures shop at the tip (though rare they have anything that's not a rusty junkheap and they put the prices up way too high about a year ago).

Both of those bikes are women's bikes, I got the impression you're a guy? If you have long legs and a short torso then a woman's bike would work, but the first one would is way too small for you, would suit someone 6 inches+ shorter, and the second one is way overpriced, it's worth half what they're asking. All the bikes being sold by that seller are way overpriced at about twice what they're worth.

There's not a lot on Wellington Trademe right now in a big enough size for someone 6'3 unless you've got $1500+ to spend, but that's just the luck of the draw - in a weeks time it might be all big sized bikes in your price range. If a bike has a Buy Now price that is a genuinely good deal they tend to get snapped up quickly (I've bought bikes 30 mins after them being listed like this), it's worth checking Trademe filtered to latest listings and buy now fairly regularly.

Only options I spotted are

http://www.trademe.co.nz/sports/cycling/road-bikes/large-57cm-over/auction-956085716.htm - really old and not that nice, it's not worth $100 unless it's basically in perfect condition - I'd wait to look for something better

http://www.trademe.co.nz/sports/cycling/road-bikes/large-57cm-over/auction-956214286.htm - this would be sweet if it was 2-4cm larger frame, almost an ideal bike though.

http://www.trademe.co.nz/sports/cycling/road-bikes/large-57cm-over/auction-955986304.htm - this bike is way overpriced but if they came to their senses and asked for $500 or less it would be sweet.

I'm not looking for anything too serious, shorts/t-shirt and cruise around. Past Oriental, through Evans Bay, up Shelley Bay and then turn and come back. 2-3 hours or so when it's nice.

Recommend also for a shorter ride to carry on along the coast to Seatoun and then head through the tunnel and back through Miramar - the ride past Scorching Bay and Karaka Bay is really nice.

The trails by the river in the Hutt valley are also really good for an easy ride if you have a car to get out there first (or I guess you can take the train).
