It's stuff like this that makes me think Israel needs to just annex Palestine, and get it over with. There is no civil liberty, economic, or even righteous reason to want to be under a administration as nutty as Abbas.

Here's what Israel should do: Rename the country to the "Union of Israel & Palestine", let the Palestinians keep their identity and homes, and offer them citizenship. Otherwise, they could gtfo.

Am I saying we should be forcing democracy, liberal values, a democratic voice in parliament, and a stable economy onto Palestine? Yes, that is exactly what I am saying, god forbid. It'd be a lot better than their current conditions and actually improve the quality of life of Palestinians over the shitty conditions they have to deal with now.

What am I really saying? It's in their best interests to join Israel, instead of being independent. Anyone who resists should be an enemy to the peace process. It's that simple.

Maybe the method I'm suggesting might seem a bit imperialist, but a short-term war is better than the current bullshit dragging on for over 40 damn years. It would save many lives on both ends of the conflict, and improve the Palestinian quality of life.
