(Texas) Employee arrested for having a plastic bag of tea and salt for the bath in her car. What can she do?

He did have her permission to do so.

I mean, it's weird, but it isn't impossible. Some police forces in Texas are incredibly odd. I've had encounters with a few while doing nothing wrong or suspicious that were just not well handled on their parts even with the respect I have shown them. Then again, my father-in-law is a police officer and a great guy, so there are members of forces here who are great guys.

I guess there isn't anything she can do, then. That's very unfortunate. We are all waiting to see what happens just to protect ourselves in this, but I do believe her story will check out.

I look at it this way: if we fire her now, she's not our problem and we don't lose much. However, we all got out of corporate America because our employers treated us pretty terribly and both us as employees and their customers just became numbers. We got in this as a family because we believed in treated customers and employees like family. It may be stupid. It may hurt us sometimes, but if her story checks out, we've probably gained the loyalty of a really hard working employee.

I just had hoped she could get her money back since she didn't have much in the first place.
