Why is Abortion?

Um, well, it's really simple. . . abortion is there because sex is not a contract to be an organ donor, just like pregnancy is not a contract to give birth.

Even in modern society, pregnancy is a permanently life changing, extremely risky (think sudden death a possibility - look up pregnancy induced stroke or heart attack...that's just one of the ways you can die, and lets not go into ways you can live but be disabled by pregnancy...) MEDICAL CONDITION.

So...here's what I have to say. I am a pro-second amendment pro-choicer. People who are anti-abortion want to say I'm PRO-Abortion, just like people who are anti-gun want to say I'm pro-gun.

It's like saying I'm pro-nazi because I support the first amendment (the right to free speech.)

Being pro-choice means you support a person's RIGHTS to their body. You support that no matter what, the government cannot dictate a woman risk her life for another WITHOUT HER CONSENT.

Let me tell you a personal story. I know a woman with MS who due to her condition, had an abortion. (She was married, had two kids and had a normal sex life - fuck her right?)

Can you imagine what aliens would think of our culture?

No matter what you believe to be right, if aliens are advanced and logical, they would support the right of a person to not be FORCED TO RISK DEATH against their will, for anyone based of of race, class, gender or age (in this case - age because it's a fetus.)

That's called slavery.

It's simple as that.

Some people cannot comprehend that a person has a right to self defense, because they are so morally hypocritical they would say "I'd never need a gun" at the same time they would hire 10 bodyguards or policemen with guns to protect their mansions.

Same thing with "pro-life" people. Time and again, they equate having an abortion to murder, and that anyone who has sex should be punished and "face the consequences" by being forced to endure pregnancy, labor and birth against their will, possibly dying on a table because they fall into the WRONG SIDE of a politicians (not a doctor's) law, meanwhile they themselves have a daughter that ends up with some 1 in 6 chance of death pregnancy and suddenly abortion is okay.

See, if you determine that a woman has no right to an abortion, you declare that whatever risk she must undergo she has no right to protect her own body from pain and harm. And even today, with modern science, a pregnancy in of itself (not just labor or birth) is magnitudes more dangerous than an abortion, and many many other conditions.

Even people who work in rescue operations have to fill out contracts, and are unionized, and protected and insured, because they are given the CHOICE to risk their lives for others.

Why do you think that removing this choice for women based off of their sex is fair and legal and moral? Or that it is moral to demonize people for it?

Why are you not donating a kidney or spinal fluid or a lung right now? Because if you aren't, then you are nothing but a hypocrite, telling women to risk their lives (seriously, look up pregnancy related complications and deaths) while you stand there with a complete body.

I have to ask you too -even if we engineered transporters and artificial wombs, would you demand that every time a woman has sex, she "report" to some kind of zygote reclamation center within 24 hours so her fetus can be harvested and raised by the government and she can avoid being jailed for not "reporting" her pregnancy?

What would an alien think of that? What about genetic rights? What about the right NOT to breed? What about privacy? What about sexual freedom?

If you want to make sex a contract to give birth, you better make things like sex courts and sex insurance and pregnancy court etc.
