Absolutely fantastic forum suggestion: "Protonium as resource for Respawn"

This begs the question of what if one of your team members purposely feeds the enemy? Right now all the enemy team are given OC cycles but with this system it can damage the entire team and waste their respawns. This could be solved by putting a personal cap on each bot but then I think it would be poor game play to force this idea that if you personally don't attack towers you'll lose the ability to repsawn. I don't want to play the game where it forces me to do specific things just to keep playing. Different strategies work for different things. An SMG is usually more effective at defending a tower while a plasma takes it out, and in a competitive game with team members communicating advanced strategies will take place but I think it would be detrimental to the overall experience if they're always forced to take towers just for repawns.

Then you loose, plain and simple. The bot that feed's the team and costs you the match quicker get's absolutely nothing in return for the match. It's impossible to account for every single bad decision a player makes just to troll a game. If they are doing something detrimental to throw a game, accept the loss, report them, and move on to a good game with bot's that will try.

Right now there is a lot of posts that hate leavers and what not, but if dying will hurt the entire team then it would be better for a bot that is not doing well to actually leave the game then to stay on my team. I would prefer to lose a bad bot then to lose my ability to respawn and I'm sure a lot of other people would to. In fact I can see a game where a bad bot is pressured to stay at their base and defend while the rest of the team plays the game.

Like this isn't the case already? A bad bot is simply something we shouldn't be seeing in T10. People should be putting effort into their builds, not fudging their way just to get into the tier. I'm so tired of teamates that can't back me up in a fight as air support... "OH LOOK AT ALL THE SMG'S SHOOTING AT ME BECAUSE NONE OF MY GROUND UNIT'S CAN SURVIVE A SINGLE FUCKING HIT. " I already leave a game when we have shit bot's and I garuntee you that's what a majority of the leavers are leaving to aswell.

It's a team with seven members Trapped in a game for 30 minutes. And if we are pre ordained to loose because people bring shit bot's to T10 I want to loose quickly to get back into que with teams with bot's that are well put together. They don't get much RP from an artificially extended game that forces me and anyone else with a bot with effort put into it attempting to carry poorly built bot's.

I'm so tired of thirty minutes struggles where we fight a slow paced loosing battle barely managing control overone tower, and then making a false hope head start inwhich is immediately stomped on.

I'm tired of thirty minute struggles of futility's.. I'm tired of games being held up because the mechanics support bad bot's managing to slip on by into a match and continually ruin it for anyone willing to build a decent bot that can take a beating, only for it to be meaningless because nobody else can. I'm tired of Begging for the team to just stop fighting and letting the clearly dominant team to have the win so I can join another game with better bot's, better team divisions, and equalized chance of failure or success based on play, rather then who brings what kinda bot to a battle.

A big issue that I see is how dying will be perceived. Dying will be looked down upon so much more. Robocraft is simply not a game where 'you can't die.' In other MOBOA's you have ways to get away, you have escape routes, hidden grass, and abilities, but Robocraft has none of those things. If you're in a fire fight it's nearly impossible to retreat. There are exceptions but in the general scheme of things retreating will simply get you killed. Even if the above things would be added this is a game where skill revolves around both building and fighting. You don't have these per-set bots that are meant to be effective and competitive. Most people build their own and fiddle with ideas but if dying is going to hurt you team then the idea of building a bot and testing it out may really hurt. It's fairly challenging to win in a 6v7 but it would probably be better than a 7v7 where one bot keeps dying and wasting respawns. This could hurt originality and force more people down the cookie-cutter path.

It's a game, loosing happens build a bridge and get over it.. Bot's will die, it will have to happen eventually. You don't win by sniveling in a corner worrying about wasting resources, and you don't do well just throwing yourself into shit situations and contributing nothing to a match. If team members make poor decisions, you loose as a team.

Take it on the chin, and move on to a new match. And honestly cookie cutter path will always exist, and there will always be players that don't go down the cookie cutter path. No amount of balancing, enforcing of rules, or programming will ever stop that. Some players just want to win and will use whatever means necessary to do so.
