Acolyte Archive Selection Help Megathread

I've been talking about picking Rude BSB from Book VII for a little while now, and my friend has objected enough time, I'm "finally" "convinced" to not go for it.

I'm just hoping for additional ideas / input, then? As these are the current ideas:

[1] Bartz Fire BSB from Book 7, Alphinaud BSB from Book 9

[2] Alphinaud BSB from Book 7, Minwu BSB from Book 9

(if I did get Rude BSB from Book 7, I would be choosing Alphinaud BSB from Book 9)

Originally, my goal was to cover up elemental weaknesses, which are Ice - Water - Earth. But, my friend's been semi adamant against picking Rude BSB, since it would end up only being that (while I believe it could have a place in either an ATK!Earth or MAG!Earth team, due to his flexibility). At the least, it's a +Earth weapon, but...

Anyway, opinions or input would be appreciated. I'm relatively sure of myself in all other books, (and my most trusted friend also agrees with all my other "arguments,") but this one has got me scratching my head constantly. Thanks in advance.
