Yeah I do genuinely feel bad about unintentionally leading this guy on. Though I think it was wrong for him to ask me to be with him knowing I’m in a relationship.

Part of why I made him wait because I was overwhelmed with the situation and didn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings or destroy any relationships. Obviously I ended up doing that anyway. I guess I was trying to avoid the inevitable.

I definitely didn’t let my bf know for the sake of letting him know he had competition. I was reluctant to let him know because I knew it would be upsetting for him. But I let him know because not telling him felt dishonest. I wanted to keep him in the loop rather than keeping secrets from him.
