AFC Northerners - Ep 66: Chris (Steelers guy) talks Brown contract, FA & Combine plus Reddit Mailbag.

I'll be honest, this is the first time I'm watching one of these all the way through. Some quick thoughts.

Within the first half minute: "Oh my god, I can't believe they paid this elite player as if he's an elite player! If he gets injured, then they'll still be paying him like he's an elite player! And that would be bad! Because apparently, having him until he's injured is somehow worse than not having him at all!"

Never fails when a player gets signed. Especially if it's a Steelers player getting an extension.

Bengals fan thumbs up when talking about a Steelers player being injured. As is tradition.

"How will the Steelers handle Brown's contract and Bell's contract???" Same way they handled Ben, Polamalu, Farrior, Taylor, Harrison, Woodley, Smith, Keisel, Hampton, Miller, and Brown's second contract all at the same time without losing anyone. And those were years where the cap wasn't going up $10 million+ each year. You'd think that with all the "cap hell" stories we heard from Bill Barnwell (and nobody who actually covers the Steelers closely), they would have been forced to see someone walk like the Ravens had to do with Osemele.
