Vick served time because there was proof of his crimes. There wasn't proof or evidence other than the fact he did sleep with one of the women who alleged he assaulted her. Afterwards the officers determined there was no case being they had texts from her phone bragging about the encounter with her own friends and co workers corroborating the findings with the officers after questioning. The settlements were nothing more than to make bad publicity go away as quickly as possible. If Ben did anything wrong he would be in jail. It's just unfortunate a man has to basically do what johnny depp did to prove his innocence. While the only thing a woman has to do is say he did it. Our society automatically assumes guilty when it comes to women and sexual assault rather than the way it was meant to be---innocent until proven guilty. 90% may think he's guilty but I believe if he was he would have served time.
