Affordable healthcare OR supportive/caretaker partner. Health insurance OR healthy food & stable housing. Thanks for shitting on disabled people, America.

This is what they do. Their mode of thinking is stuck in the 1950's. Outside of our "disabilities," we are nothing. These thoughts were very prevalent back then. We have no right to an education, to marry and be with our partners. The list goes on and on. We must continue to work on breaking down the societal barriers that we face.

The worst part? We have all had the fear of God put into us. One misstep, one wrong word and you can lose what little they give you. So people are afraid.

The only time we hear about disability rights anymore is when it comes to us working. "Ohhh, so many disabled people have jobs!" You wanna know why? Because no one can survive on this shit. People are dying while they wait for their hearings.

No one wants to put the work in to fix the system that they broke.
