Round 1 on Numbani.

  • I was playing Reinhardt. We were doing pretty well on offense, and then I started lagging hard at the penultimate checkpoint. Disconnected after 30 seconds of feeding.
  • Reconnecting was slow, didn't think I'd make it. We're able to push the payload far enough for the music to start playing. 3 minutes left.
  • 60 seconds left, the defense is suddenly relentless for this last stretch! Hang on, what is this? I'm lagging again?!

  • "Connection lost."
  • The Great Firewall of China was probably messing with me again, so I decided to close the game and just surf reddit while it calms down.
  • Losing the match to technical issues is somewhat disappointing, but that's life.
  • 10 minutes should be sufficient, open Overwatch again.

  • Woah, so we made it on Round 1 despite my feeding?!
  • Chat was pretty active when I rejoined, but I have no idea what was said - it was all in Korean.
  • We're on defense, oh god!
  • We won. Bastion POTG. My MMR still went up in spite of disconnecting.
