This is such a thoughtless comment. She’s the one who’s asking him to help her groom her hair, people aren’t pitying her or treating her like she’s made of hollow glass. You also don’t get to decide how she feels about her disability just because you have blind family members. OP doesn’t give any reasoning as to why he finds it awkward and embarrassing, is it because he has to stare at her vagina the whole time? Is it because he’s scared of slipping up, or because he finds it ‘unmanly’ or whatever? He didnt’t give a reason in his post and it sounds like he didn’t give her a reason either, which probably explains why she’s so upset.
