AITB: I didn't tip a server who refused to serve me a drink

YTB. When I was in college I worked in a grocery store. At 12pm on a weekday a young man that looked about 30 came into the store and bought lunch & a can of beer. I didn’t card him because “what minor would buy one can on a weekday?” Sound familiar? Long story short, it was a sting, I was technically arrested and charged with a misdemeanor and I had to go to court 7 times to please it down to a violation. It messed up my life at the time, so you can be damn sure that I didn’t mess around after that and everyone got carded or refused if they didn’t have valid ID. I’m sorry, but your server doesn’t know you or your situation and your argument that they should just know is ridiculous. They were doing their job and in turn protecting themself. If you didn’t like it, you should’ve left.
