It isn't necessarily malevolent to the people in that community, some people just truly see suicide as the way out. To a lot of people encouraging it is positive because it is "helping" that person escape their pain or follow through with their will to do it for whatever reason. Not like pushing others to do it for some sort of satisfaction for themselves, thought there could be people on there like that of course, but when I went there occasionally a while back I didn't notice it.

A lot of it is also a reaction to always being told suicide is bad and that there are other ways to get help after those other ways turn out not to be helpful or make things worse. You start to feel like you're being lied to by society and everyone who tells you not to commit suicide and that things get better.

It definitely is an issue that they seem to urge people to do it more though, especially younger people, rather than being balanced about it and encouraging the individual to make their own choice and say that it is okay for them to if they truly feel they should.

Just trying to give my rushed point of view from someone who has been at that point for most of their life I guess.
