Almost getting run over while crossing a road, as certain cyclists feel the red light doesn't apply to them

Generalising like that isn't helpful, it's dangerous. You're sowing more bad feeling. I cycle almost every day. I obey the rules of the road and so do most cyclists I see. When I see one who doesn't, it makes me at least as mad as it makes non-cyclists, probably more because I know how the bad behaviour of an irresponsible minority of people on bikes reflects on all of us. There are some bad cyclists out there just as there are bad drivers or bad people generally, but the cycling community condemns them. The only one living in another universe is you if you think otherwise. Bad people might back each other up, don't tar us all with that shitty brush
